Loíza and Luquillo are the two municipalities that make-up the northeast region
of the island. These municipalities, distinguished by their beautiful beaches
and a historic past, are proudly represented by the Brass Cactus restaurants.
The establishment has become a staple in these communities with its
unambiguous antique western theme, excellent food and drink and one of the
best happy hours on the island.
The original Brass Cactus was founded in 1990 and is located near Playa Azul
in Luquillo. Three years ago, they opened a new location in Loíza, near the
Belks Outlets.
Brass Cactus offers daily Happy Hours from 4 pm to 6 pm at both locations,
where all the appetizers and drinks are 50% off. On Fridays, they have
karaoke in Luquillo, from 10 pm to 2 am, not to mention women drink free for
the first hour.
Thursdays in Loíza, the restaurant offers extended hours until 2 am, in order to
celebrate the karaoke and DJs night, where women’s drink are free from 9 to
10 pm. Also on Sunday, they have Margarita Night, where women enjoy free
drinks again during happy hour (and men to if they wear a skirt).
There menu offers a variety of choices; soups and salads, angus cow burgers,
wraps, sandwiches, pastas and their specialty: certified angus steaks. The
Brass Cactus house favorites are churrasco served with chimichurri sauce and
the BBQ baby back ribs covered with a home-made sauce. Drink specials
include Margaritas, (try the Cactus Wabo Rita). Finally, all desserts are home
made and the most popular is the apple crisp.
With wireless internet service in both locations and a special room for children
with a variety of x-box games and movies in Loíza, the Brass Cactus is a good
choice for the whole family.
The Brass Cactus is open 7 days a week, Monday to Thursday from 11 am to
12 midnight, and Friday to Sunday from 11 am to 2 am. For more information
