D.I.M. For those who have not been blessed with your
music, what can they expect?
F.D.I. - Our influences are: Black Sabbath, Mettallica,
Nirvana, System of a Down, Tool, Culture, The Police,
Rush, Misfits, Bob Marley, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs,
Stone Temple Pilots, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Saga, Death, Manowar, La
Fania All Stars, Ras Michael & Cats 22. We have a lot more, but the
above are the ones with highest importance in our band. Also, you can
find part of these influences on each member of the band.
D.I.M. Tell us a little about the metal scene in Vega Baja. We have
heard Brazos Caidos from Morovis, anything else on the North coast?
F.D.I. Really, Vega Baja doesn’t bring to much support to metal music.
We are working to bring more influence to the metal music in our city. Us
and a few other bands were playing in a “Pub” only dedicated to Metal,
Hardcore, Alternative, Grunge and reggae music. We called it the “Vega
Baja Scene”.
D.I.M. What message does the band bring to its listeners?
F.D.I. Really the message in our songs is: “it doesn’t matter how your
life style is or your creeds; it doesn’t matter if you fall down and do
things wrong, If you regret those things and you stand up and serve,
you will always will have a new opportunity to save your soul”.
D.I.M. Your sound almost reminds us of Bad Brains, a mixture of reggae
and hardcore. Would HR be proud?
F.D.I. This basically describes part of our sound, we play metal with a
fusion of reggae.
D.I.M. What is your favorite venue to play in Puerto Rico?
F.D.I. Our favorite venue to play is “ Hard Rock Cafe” and “Anfiteatro
Tito Puente”. But, we play in any location our fans want; “If the people
want us to play on the moon, we will do anything to please them”.
D.I.M. When can fans expect a new release?
F.D.I. If everything goes as expected, we plan to have our CD out in two
or three months.
D.I.M. Props to other local acts
F.D.I. Definetively “Guasabara” they are from Corozal. We think they
are one of the best bands in the North Central. They are great!!!!
D.I.M. When your not playing music?
F.D.I. We usually work, spend time with our family and particapate as
an audience for other shows on the North side of the island.
D.I.M. Are you really friends with NOFX?
F.D.I. Sure!!!! Our drummer communicates with them.
D.I.M. Was Neil Young right with hey...hey... My... My... Rock and roll will
never die?
F.D.I. Yes. The rock will never, never, never...... dies.
