A vacation can change your life and that might have happened to María del
Carmen Alba, owner of Lolita’s Restaurant, when she came to Puerto Rico 35
years ago and decided to establish a Mexican restaurant in 1984 in Fajardo.
With a friendly environment and a nice terrace, this restaurant has 3 dinning
areas with air conditioning, to include an area available for private activities,
where your entire family can come and enjoy Mexican and Criollo food.
Lolita’s has a huge variety of Mexican food: burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and
chimichangas, among others. Their most popular plate is called “ultra nachos”,
tortillas covered with refrito, guacamole, sour cream, chicken or meat and
cheese. Also popular is the “wet burrito,” which comes out with a home-made red
sauce, melted Monterey cheese, cheddar cheese and nachos. While enjoying
your meal, enjoy refreshments ranging from natural juices to margaritas, beers
and wines.
Open 7 days a week, Sunday to Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm and Friday and
Saturday from 11 am to 12 am; Lolita’s weekly lunch specials are $5.50 and
include a soda.
Decorated with Mexican style, Lolita’s also caters to vegetarians with soy burritos
and tacos. Additional perks include a separate children’s menu, valet parking on
weekends and security. There prices are really cheap considering Lolitas quality
and quantity, with meals starting at $1.50 and nothing priced higher than $16.95.
Lolitas success has been so good that they recently opened a new location in
Las Piedras, located in Plaza Shopping Center Las Piedras, near the Grande
Supermarket.
When looking for quality Tex-Mex in Puerto Rico, be sure to consider Lolitas,
where friendly service meets superior food.
