be. Can you guys make a difference?
SIN CONTROL: I think we can because our music speaks out to the people
and the people can identify themselves with our songs, and what better way
to identify themselves than with a girl speaking her mind. Most rock bands
have male singers. By us having Betty as our singer, we can distinguish
ourselves from other bands.
D.I.M. Playing the pub scene brings home the rice and beans, but where do
you guys want to be in 2 years?
SIN CONTROL: We would like to be touring the world with our music, inspiring
as many people as we can. Also, have a charity foundation.
D.I.M. What performer or bands influence your sound?
SIN CONTROL: La 5ta Estacion, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin and
Hinder.
D.I.M. Are you working on an initial release? When do you expect it to be
out?
SIN CONTROL: We are working on our second demo so we can distribute it
to record labels interested in something new. We expect it to be out in
September 2007.
D.I.M. Give us a rundown on the band members? How does everyone’s
individual personality shine through in your music?
SIN CONTROL: Betty is the crazy and unique writer that everyone looks for in
a band, Luis is the quiet but funny guitarist that makes awesome rhythms,
Emmanuel is the crazy and outgoing drummer that makes any type of rhythm
in an instant, and Eduardo is the crazy, but sentimental, guitarist that always
tries to do his best and works hard on his music. As soon as you see us
perform, you can see how each one of us is as individuals. This difference in
personalities is what makes our band so unique.
D.I.M. Aside from music, what do you guys do to pass time?
SIN CONTROL: We all play soccer, hang out, go to the beach, and
sometimes, some of us like to have a good time trying to surf.
D.I.M. What local acts have you seen or played with that impress you the
most?
SIN CONTROL: Ill Nino, Ankla and Nonpoint, and Mana.
D.I.M. If the band had a genie in a bottle, what would be your three wishes?
SIN CONTROL: First get signed with a major record label, 2 have a million
fans going crazy for us, and 3 turn into music legends so that we would be
remembered forever.
D.I.M. Words of wisdom
SIN CONTROL: Believe in what you are capable of and never give up your
dreams.
D.I.M. - Who would you guys like to thank?
SIN CONTROL: First of all, God for giving us our talents, our friends and
family who support us in everything we do, and Virna for being with us all
through this process and believing that we can make it.
